Linkside Tennis Academy – Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book coaching sessions?
All coaching sessions are booked online through our booking system. Simply select the programme that best matches your age or ability level and follow the booking instructions. If you’re unsure where to start, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
What age groups do you cater for?
We offer coaching for all ages and stages, from young beginners taking their first steps in tennis through to adults looking to learn, improve, or enjoy regular play.
What ability levels do you support?
Our programme welcomes beginners, recreational players, and those looking to develop their competitive game. Sessions are structured to ensure players are challenged, supported, and enjoying their tennis at every stage.
Do I need to be a member of Linkside Tennis Club?
Yes — all players taking part in the coaching programme are required to hold an active Linkside Tennis Club membership. Membership supports the club and provides access to courts and facilities outside of coaching sessions.
What should I bring to a session?
Please wear comfortable sports clothing and suitable trainers, and bring water. If you have your own racket feel free to bring it — if not, no problem, we have plenty available to borrow.
How are coaching blocks structured?
Coaching typically runs in termly blocks aligned with school terms. Holiday camps, competitions, and additional events are scheduled throughout the year.
What happens if it rains?
Sessions normally go ahead unless weather conditions are unsafe. If a session needs to be cancelled, we will notify players as soon as possible and advise on any alternative arrangements.
Do you run holiday camps?
Yes — we run holiday camps during school holidays for a range of ages and abilities. Visit our Camps page for upcoming dates and booking details.
Do you offer competitive opportunities?
Yes — we provide matchplay sessions, internal competitions, and support for players who want to explore tournament tennis as part of their development.

Our coaching team is fully qualified, LTA accredited, and passionate about creating a positive, welcoming environment where players can enjoy tennis and continue improving.
